On September 6, 2024, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 30-year-old Casey Shawn Edward Shaffer was found deceased in an apartment located at 808 West Bailey Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds from a small-caliber handgun. The discovery was made after a woman contacted authorities, requesting assistance in removing Shaffer from her residence.
