On November 2, 1919, Deputy Sheriff Tom Majors, aged 45, was fatally shot during a raid on an illegal whiskey still in Natrona County, Wyoming. The operation, aimed at curbing bootlegging activities during Prohibition, turned deadly when the suspect opened fire, striking Deputy Majors in the arm and head, resulting in his immediate death.
