On August 21, 2021, 61-year-old Frank Damiano of Kailua-Kona was fatally shot at a residence on Mamalahoa Highway in Kealakekua, Hawaii. The suspect, 79-year-old Donald Carpenter, was an acquaintance of Damiano.
