In a tragic incident on October 27, 2023, 39-year-old Ikaika Stone lost his life in a shooting in Kakaako, Honolulu. The incident stemmed from an argument between Stone and two brothers, Fanaika Mateaki, 26, and Paea Mateaki, 19, which escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, Fanaika Mateaki allegedly shot Stone multiple times, resulting in his death.
