On October 20, 2006, Maurice Kent, also known as "Mo," was shot and killed in the 1200 block of Irving Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m., and when police arrived on the scene, they found Kent with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead. The incident happened late at night in a residential area, and the investigation into his murder has continued without resolution.
