In the early evening of January 21, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a street in Southwest Washington, D.C., leaving two young men dead and a community searching for answers. One of the victims was 21-year-old Terrance Brown, a male from Laurel, Maryland. He and his companion, 22-year-old Ezra Beyene of Burke, Virginia, were discovered inside a vehicle on Forrester Street SW, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
