Death by Force

On June 28, 1890, Town Marshal Joe Keith of Childersburg, Alabama, was fatally shot while attempting to arrest four men causing a disturbance in the town. The individuals had spent the afternoon in Childersburg and began driving a buggy recklessly down the main street, discharging their pistols.
