On a summer evening in Childersburg, Alabama, the life of 35-year-old Homer Deshawn Calloway was tragically cut short. On August 4, 2018, Calloway, a Black male, was fatally shot in a trailer park community off Veaslett Lane. A graduate of Childersburg High School's class of 2002, he was a father to three children.

The investigation into his death quickly pointed to a suspect. The Childersburg Police Department identified 19-year-old Kev'vakius Jalik Jemison of Talladega as the individual ...
