On August 4, 2018, 35-year-old Homer Deshawn Calloway was fatally shot at his residence in Childersburg, Alabama. The incident occurred in a trailer park community off Veaslett Lane.
Following the shooting, the Childersburg Police Department identified 19-year-old Kev'vakius Jalik Jemison of Talladega as the primary suspect. A capital murder warrant was issued for Jemison's arrest, and authorities considered him armed and dangerous.
