In the quiet, early morning hours of Sunday, November 2, 1924, in Attalla, Alabama, the life of 49-year-old male, Chief of Police Henry Ingram, was tragically cut short. While making his rounds at the Attalla Union Railway Station around 6:30 a.m., Chief Ingram encountered two men, Homer Beaird and Ras Latham, who were visibly intoxicated and causing a disturbance near a restaurant.
