In the early afternoon of Sunday, May 20, 2007, the life of 36-year-old Delonte Evans, an African-American man, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. Police were called to the 600 block of 32nd Street, SE, around 1:39 p.m. following reports of a shooting in the area.
