In the early morning hours of Monday, July 23, 2007, a sense of loss befell a community as Rigo D. Garner Jr., a 20-year-old male from Lanham, Maryland, was found lifeless in Washington, D.C. The tragic discovery was made at approximately 6:20 a.m. in the 5300 block of E Street, Southeast, where Garner had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
