On an early autumn evening in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunshots broke the calm. On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of N Street, Northwest. Upon their arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Tiara Cardell Thompson, a male resident of Northwest D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds.
