DeWayne Anthony Shorter III, aged 22, passed away on January 26, 2021, in Washington, DC. DeWayne was survived by his son, Chase Shorter, his mother, Roxie Jefferson, two sisters, Iyawna Aull and Layla Cobb, and three brothers, Isaac Aull Jr., Donte Shorter, and DeWayne Shorter Jr. He was remembered as a polite, intelligent, and respectful young man who had clear goals and a strong sense of purpose in life.
