On a Tuesday afternoon in January 2021, a young man's life was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. Twenty-two-year-old Dewayne Shorter, III, a resident of Temple Hills, Maryland, was found inside a vehicle in the 1200 block of Saratoga Avenue, Northeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
