On January 2, 2009, Gregory Manago, a 25-year-old male, was shot and killed at approximately 3:30 AM in the 3500 block of Stanton Road, Southeast Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. Despite their efforts, Manago was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead. The circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear, and the investigation into his death has not yet been resolved.
