On a cold Saturday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 25-year-old Darnell Peoples was tragically cut short. On February 4, 2023, at approximately 7:17 pm, gunshots echoed through the 3600 block of 22nd Street in Southeast D.C. When officers from the Seventh District arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim sight: an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
