On the night of September 15, 2016, 35-year-old Darnell Peoples was shot and killed in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Mellon Street, SE. According to reports, Peoples was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
