On March 7, 2019, 27-year-old Brian Kennedy, Jr. was found dead in the unit block of Halley Place, Southeast, Washington, DC. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District responded to a report of a man down at approximately 3:27 am. Upon arrival, they discovered Kennedy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
