In the late afternoon of March 2, 2020, a sense of normalcy was shattered in the 700 block of Quebec Place, Northwest, Washington, D.C. At approximately 2:58 p.m., gunfire erupted, and when the chaos subsided, 24-year-old Malik Brown, a Black male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
