On January 26, 2009, 50-year-old Jasper Dozier was fatally shot in front of his residence at 624 2nd Street Southwest in Birmingham, Alabama. Following the incident, Randy Taylor surrendered to authorities and was charged with murder in connection with Dozier's death.
