On a spring evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of Frank Wright, a 57-year-old male visiting from Indiana, was violently cut short. On May 22, 2009, Wright was at a self-serve car wash on 43rd Avenue North when he was fatally shot in what investigators would later describe as a drug-related robbery. Another individual with Wright at the time of the incident also sustained injuries in the attack.
