On October 2, 2013, in Double Springs, Alabama, authorities discovered the bodies of four individuals inside a car parked on a logging road in the William B. Bankhead National Forest. The deceased were identified as 39-year-old Kristie Hunt Campbell Hamrick; her ex-husband, 30-year-old Robert Samuel Hamrick; her brother, 38-year-old Andy Hunt; and family friend, 30-year-old Kevin Carey.
