In the late afternoon of September 21, 2018, events took a tragic turn for Tia Kelly, a 42-year-old Black woman from Huntsville, Alabama. Despite their attempts, Tia Kelly succumbed to her injuries, and what was initially a death investigation was soon reclassified as a homicide.
