In the early morning hours of December 26, 2024, the life of 29-year-old Justice Nicole Shoulders was tragically cut short in Huntsville, Alabama. A Black female, Shoulders was found by Huntsville Police officers around 5:00 a.m. on the 500 block of Webster Drive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that Shoulders had been involved in an argument with another woman, identified as 28-year-old Veronica Lashae Ferguson.
The dispute escalated, culminating in Ferguson allegedly shooting Shoulders and then fleeing the location. Neighbors in the area were abruptly awakened by screaming at the time of the incident.
Later that same day, authorities located and apprehended Veronica Lashae Ferguson. She was subsequently arrested and has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Justice Nicole Shoulders. Ferguson is currently being held at the Madison County Jail.
