On October 12, 2015, in Huntsville, Alabama, 26-year-old Heather Nicole Green was tragically killed by her estranged husband, Jessie Daniel Green, in a murder-suicide incident. The shooting occurred in a parking lot off Pulaski Pike, with their three young children—ages 3, 6, and 8—present in the car during the incident. After fatally shooting Heather, Jessie Green turned the gun on himself.
