On December 24, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Huntsville Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3200 block of Uvalde Lane NW. Upon arrival, they discovered Leah Jones, 37, suffering from gunshot wounds. The Madison County Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene.
