In the late summer of 2023, the life of 20-year-old Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar was tragically cut short in a violent act that also claimed the life of her companion, 24-year-old D'Asia Monique Morris. On the morning of August 29th, Huntsville police responded to a call regarding a shooting on Bonnell Drive.
