On January 1, 2014, 18-year-old Kristin Danielle Fuller of Rutledge, Alabama, was fatally shot at a residence on Campground Church Road near the Crenshaw and Pike County line. The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. Fuller, a 2013 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy and a student at Troy University, was attending a New Year's Eve gathering at the time.
