On April 26, 2014, 44-year-old Carl "Allen" Huddleston III was fatally shot during an altercation at Danny's Back Street Lounge, located at 810 4th Avenue North in Bessemer, Alabama. Witnesses reported that Huddleston was walking away from a fight when he was shot. The alleged shooter, Robert Esmond Davis, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder.
