On December 26, 2007, Luis Alvarez, aged 35, was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred in Northeast Washington, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Officers arrived on the scene to discover Alvarez suffering from gunshot wounds, and despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
