In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 25, 2004, a sense of stillness hung over the 1300 block of New York Avenue in Northeast Washington, D.C. That quiet was shattered at approximately 5:15 a.m. by the sound of gunfire. When the echoes faded, Terron Corum, a male, was left dead, shot while sitting in a vehicle. The Metropolitan Police Department was called to the scene to begin the painstaking process of piecing together the events that led to this violent end.
