In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of Antwoin Wilson, a 43-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 27, 2023, at approximately 12:24 a.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of 4th Street, Southeast. The residential area, filled with apartment buildings near the D.C.-Maryland line, became the scene of a homicide investigation.
Upon their arrival, police discovered Antwoin Wilson in the
hallway of an apartment building, suffering from gunshot wounds. He showed no signs of life. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and confirmed his death. His body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Wilson's death. To date, no arrests have been made in the case, and the police have not released any information about potential suspects or motives. The investigation is ongoing.
In an effort to gather information that could lead to the apprehension of the person or persons responsible, the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with the fatal shooting of Antwoin Wilson.
