In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Washington, D.C., the life of 35-year-old Davon Walker was tragically cut short. On June 4, 2023, just before 12:30 a.m., the sound of gunshots echoed through the 300 block of Anacostia Road in Southeast Washington. When police officers from the Sixth District arrived at the scene, they discovered a man suffering from the gunshot wounds that would ultimately prove fatal.
