On July 20, 2014, 21-year-old Jamarcus Marquez Roberts was fatally shot at the Motel 6 on McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and upon arrival, police found Roberts deceased in his vehicle.
