On August 30, 2014, a violent altercation occurred outside the Showstoppers Motorcycle Club on Coosa Street in Birmingham, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. Among the victims was 47-year-old Wilbert Hawkins, a member of the Showstoppers Motorcycle Club. The incident also claimed the life of 48-year-old Steven Hicks, a member of the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club. The confrontation, which escalated into a gunfight, left two others wounded.
