Lesley Carroll Woodman, a 35-year-old White female, was found shot to death inside her home on November 10, 2014, on the 3600 block of Batton Road in McCalla, Alabama. A lifelong resident of the Bessemer–McCalla area, she was remembered for her school spirit and close ties to family and friends. Her daughter discovered her that day, a trauma she has since spoken about publicly while continuing to seek answers.
