On July 31, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., 67-year-old Bernice Owens Hulgan and her husband, 68-year-old Louis "Grant" Hulgan, were found deceased in their McCalla, Alabama home on the 5500 block of Myron Clark Road. A family member, unable to reach the couple by phone, discovered their bodies and alerted authorities.
