On March 31, 2008, James Kilgore, aged 20, was found shot inside a gold 4-door 2000 Buick in the 1500 block of Downing Street, NE, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 10:09 p.m. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of gunshots in the area, where they discovered Kilgore suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Kilgore succumbed to his injuries shortly after being found.
