On March 28, 2015, 18-year-old Jerome Watkins was fatally shot in Greenville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. near Fields Street, where Watkins was shot multiple times. After being wounded, he managed to run to Oglesby Street, where officers later discovered his body on a front porch.
