On March 28, 2015, 18-year-old African American male Jerome Watkins was fatally shot in Greenville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Fields Street, where Watkins was shot multiple times. Despite his injuries, he managed to run to Oglesby Street, where his body was later discovered on a front porch by responding officers. Emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
