On June 12, 2019, 47-year-old Willard Crook Jr. was fatally shot during an altercation near Crosby Lane in Greenville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m., when Crook engaged in a confrontation with four individuals. During the dispute, four shots were fired, one of which struck and mortally wounded Crook. He was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama in Greenville, where he was pronounced dead.
