Russell Gregory, a 31-year-old Black man from Greenville, Alabama, died on May 11, 2014 after a late-night dispute spilled out of a downtown bar and turned deadly. In the early hours, an argument inside the Front Street Pub escalated into the street along West Commerce Street, drawing people outside as tensions sharpened and tempers refused to cool.
