In the fall of 2015, a tragedy unfolded in the city of Bessemer, Alabama, forever altering the lives of one family and leading to years of legal proceedings. On the evening of October 5th, 58-year-old Leon Slay was found inside his home on 6th Avenue North, the victim of a fatal shooting.
