On August 27, 2019, 77-year-old David Clifton Harper was found deceased in his Bessemer, Alabama, home located on the 1500 block of Dartmouth Avenue. A family friend, concerned after not hearing from him, discovered his body and alerted authorities. Upon investigation, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Harper and determined his death to be a homicide.
