On August 30, 2024, at approximately 11:40 p.m., 41-year-old Wesley Fowler Jr. was fatally shot at a Citgo gas station located at 200 Fourth Avenue North in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident began when suspects drove by the gas station and opened fire into the parking lot.
