In the late afternoon hours of Sunday, July 24, 2022, 39-year-old Ricky Howard Hamrick II, a male from Bremen, Georgia, traveled to Bessemer, Alabama, with the intention of selling two handguns through a prearranged meeting on Facebook Marketplace. The transaction was set to take place in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue North. Tragically, this business dealing turned into a fatal encounter for Hamrick, who was accompanied by his eight-year-old daughter.
