In the early morning hours of May 15, 2024, a Bessemer police officer on patrol made a grim discovery. A white Ford Flex was stopped in the middle of Alabama Adventure Parkway, near the exit ramp for I-20/59. Inside the vehicle was 59-year-old William Barry Brannon, a White male who had been fatally shot. Brannon was on his way to work when the tragic incident occurred.
