Lamark Stineson, a 24-year-old Black male from Montgomery, was fatally shot on January 17, 2016, in a burst of weekend violence that left the city reeling. Police were called about 8:40 p.m. to the 1100 block of St. James Street on reports of a person shot, but by the time officers and fire medics arrived, he had already been rushed to a hospital in a private vehicle.
