On March 18, 2019, at approximately 1 p.m., Montgomery Police Department (MPD) officers and Fire Medics responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Taylor Street in Montgomery, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Warrick D. Ruggs suffering from a gunshot wound. Ruggs was promptly transported to Baptist Medical Center South, where he was later pronounced dead.
