In the quiet of a Tuesday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 29-year-old Jerrell Demond Rogers was abruptly ended by gunfire. On January 26, 2016, Rogers was found shot in the driver's seat of his black Chevrolet Impala, which had come to a stop after apparently rolling and hitting a curb on 11th Avenue North.
