On November 30, 2021, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person down in the roadway on the 2700 block of 29th Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 60-year-old Arthur Lee Swift lying unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
