On May 15, 2021, 21-year-old Albert Lamar Griffin Jr. was fatally shot in his bedroom at his residence on the 2600 block of Avenue S in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m., and Griffin was transported to a local hospital by a personal vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead.
