On June 17, 2004, Charles Robert "Rob" Bennett, a 33-year-old officer of the Birmingham Police Department, was fatally shot along with two other officers, Carlos Owen and Harley A. Chisholm III, while attempting to serve a misdemeanor domestic assault warrant at an apartment in Birmingham, Alabama.
